La Sosta is an intimate, family-run, 20-seater restaurant located in the heart of Swellendam. We offer a carefully curated seasonal dining experience designed around exceptional ingredients, thoughtful cooking, and warm hospitality.

Dining Experience
At La Sosta Restaurant, we offer a seasonal set menu experience.

Due to the nature of our menu and kitchen operations, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, lactose-free, or other dietary requirements.
Any vegetarian requests must be communicated at least 48hrs prior to your reservation. We are unable to accommodate dietary changes or menu modifications on the evening of service.
Our menu changes regularly according to seasonality, availability, and inspiration. While every effort is made to communicate menus accurately, dishes and ingredients may change without notice.
Reservations & Deposits
All reservations are made exclusively through our website.
A deposit of R400 per person is required to secure a reservation.
Once payment has been received, you will automatically receive an email confirmation. This confirmation serves as proof of your reservation. Reservations without confirmation are not considered secured.
The remaining balance of your restaurant bill, together with the mandatory 12% service charge and any additional purchases, will be payable at the conclusion of your dining experience.
Due to our limited seating capacity, we are unable to hold tables without a deposit.
We strongly encourage guests staying with us to check restaurant availability and secure their reservation as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Menu & Dietary Requests
La Sosta Restaurant serves a fixed seasonal menu prepared specifically for each service.
We are able to accommodate vegetarian guests only, provided we are notified at least 48hrs prior to the reservation date.
Unfortunately, we are unable to cater for:

Multiple or complex dietary restrictions or allergies.

Dietary requests communicated less than 48hrs before the reservation
Guests with severe allergies should contact us prior to booking. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment due to the nature of our kitchen and the ingredients used.
Menu substitutions, alterations, special requests, or changes cannot be accommodated on the evening of service.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the reservation date will receive a full refund of the deposit.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the reservation, reductions in guest numbers, or no-shows will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
Guest numbers may be amended up to 48 hours prior to the reservation, subject to availability.
Any reduction in guest numbers within 48 hours of the reservation will be treated as a cancellation, and the deposit for the cancelled seat(s) will be forfeited.
Should sufficient notice be given, we will always endeavour to fill cancelled seats where possible. If cancelled seats are successfully rebooked, refunds may be considered at the sole discretion of management.
Additional guests may only be added subject to availability and confirmation by La Sosta Restaurant.
Arrival & Service
Guests are welcomed from 18:00 and are requested to arrive no later than 18:15 for a prompt start at 18:30.
As all guests are served simultaneously, late arrivals may result in one or more courses being missed. No refunds, discounts, menu substitutions, or alternative service will be offered in such circumstances.
To preserve the flow of service and the dining experience for all guests, La Sosta Restaurant reserves the right to determine table allocations and seating arrangements.
Guests booking separately but wishing to be seated together should notify us at least 48 hrs prior to their reservation. While we will do our best to accommodate such requests, this cannot be guaranteed.
Admission & Acceptance
La Sosta Restaurant reserves the right of admission and service.
Any guest whose behaviour is considered disruptive, abusive, threatening, excessively intoxicated, or detrimental to the experience of other guests may be refused service or asked to leave the premises.
By making a reservation and paying the required deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.
Photography & Social Media
From time to time, photographs may be taken within the restaurant for marketing, website, and social media purposes. Should you prefer not to appear in any photographs, please notify us upon arrival.
